Describe some of the most common reflexology techniques
What will be an ideal response?
Answer: The most common reflexology techniques fall into three categories: compression, friction, and joint mobilization. The most common forms of compression are walking, rolling, hook-and-backup, press-and-flex, and direct pressure. All techniques apply direct pressure or compress a reflex. Circular friction is typically used in conjunction with direct pressure to improve circulation to a reflex. Finally, common forms of joint mobilization include spinal twist, toe rotations, and ankle rotations. Many techniques are applied with one hand, or the working hand, while the other hand, the stabilizing hand, holds the recipient's foot.
