Choose the System Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) option from the dropdown list, which allows for tasks such as creating user accounts and naming the computer like a new PC installation. Next enable the Generalize option, which removes the SID, computer name, and all other unique data such as logs and restore points. Finally, choose the Shutdown option from the Shutdown Options dropdown list. The virtual machine must not be booted again directly, as that will remove the generalization. RDS will use checkpoints to preserve the clean state of the virtual machine.
