What are the guidelines to keep in mind before you use links to create connections from one document to another on your website or within a document?
What will be an ideal response?
• Prepare for links. Some web designers create links before creating the associated pages. Others prefer to create all of the files and pages first, and then create links. Choose a method that suits your work style, but be sure to test all of your links before publishing your website.• Link to text or images. You can select any text or image on a page to create a link. When you do, visitors to your website can click the text or image to open another document or move to another place on the page.• Know the path or address. To create relative links to pages in your site, the text files need to be stored in the same root folder or a subfolder in the root folder. To create absolute links, you need to know the URL of the webpage. To create email links, you need to know the email address.• Test the links. Test all of the links on a webpage when you preview the page in a browser. Fix any broken links before publishing the page.

Suppose the file is not ordered by the key field SSN and we want to construct a secondary index on SSN. Repeat the previous exercise (part c) for the secondary index and compare with the primary index.
Consider a disk with block size B=512 bytes. A block pointer is P=6 bytes long, and a record pointer is P R =7 bytes long. A file has r=30,000 EMPLOYEE records of fixed-length. Each record has the following fields: NAME (30 bytes), SSN (9 bytes), DEPARTMENTCODE (9 bytes), ADDRESS (40 bytes), PHONE (9 bytes), BIRTHDATE (8 bytes), SEX (1 byte), JOBCODE (4 bytes), SALARY (4 bytes, real number). An additional byte is used as a deletion marker.
