Man-made disasters occur as well and include terrorism, bioterrorism, industrial hazards, structural collapse, and workplace violence. Medical emergencies are life-threatening situations including cardiac arrest, uncontrolled bleeding, severe allergic reactions, excessive burns, poisoning, and so on, and often can occur as a result of a natural disaster or man-made disaster.
