Define and explain the term "socioeconomic position," with emphasis on its three foundations

Socioeconomic position is a composition of many individual concepts, the three foundations being education, income, and occupation. Education, income, and occupation are intertwined, much like a rope. They twist around one another, and it can be difficult to tell where one strand begins and the other ends. Income is the primary benefit of a high-quality education; generally, income increases as levels of education increase. Yet, income is required to attain education and the ability to live in certain neighborhoods and school districts as well as afford tuition. The presence of one factor influences the opportunities of the others. Socioeconomic position also includes a prestige- or position-based component. Prestige-based measures refer to individuals' rank or status in a social hierarchy. A person's rank may be evaluated within the context of type of employment, level of education completed, or amount of wealth or resource type accrued. In any case, persons further down a social ladder have fewer resources, and they lack power to influence resource decisions and trajectories.?
