What is the difference between the two virtual disk file formats supported by Hyper-V hypervisor?
What will be an ideal response?
Hyper-V supports two different disk file formats, VHD (.vhd) and the newer VHDX (.vhdx) introduced in Windows Server 2012. A VHDX file can have a capacity of up to 64 TB versus a 2 TB limit on VHD files. A VHDX also supports 4 KB logical sector sizes for increased performance on modern drives, and is better at preventing data loss due to unexpected shutdowns.
