A speech to convince  deals with audiences that are either undecided, indifferent or
opposed; it employs local proofs.  A speech to reinforce appeals essentially to the
motives, attitudes and sentiments of an audience that is in agreement with the speaker?s
point of view.   A speech to actuate calls for a specific action on the part of the audience
and are most successful when directed at audiences that agree with the speaker.
