Briefly describe the three types of switching methods.

What will be an ideal response?

Cut-through switching is the fastest; it reads the destination MAC address and sends the frame out. Store-and-forward switching is the slowest; it stores the entire message and then sends it to the correct port. Fragment-free switching is the middle man; it reads enough to make sure the packet is not fragmented and then sends it out.
