Explain how perceptual set can be both useful and harmful

What will be an ideal response?

Perceptual sets can be useful when they help us make decisions more efficiently, frame expectations of how things, events, or people should be, and they enable us to compare our expectations with the reality of the moment and respond accordingly. However, they can be harmful when we rely too
heavily on our past experiences and ignore information that is different or has changed from what we
expect.
