What is an evolutionary prototype? How does it differ from a throwaway prototype?

If a prototype becomes complete enough that it becomes an implementation, then it’s called an evolutionary prototype. This is in contrast to a throwaway prototype, which still serves as a model, but does not become part of the final implementation.
