There are several modes to choose from:
Off: Permits experimentation without recording adjustments
Read: Allows you to read existing adjustments (the default will adjust the entire
track)
Write: Writes any adjustments you make as you listen
Latch: Is identical to Write but won't apply changes until you move the sliders
(and it is usually used after Write)
Touch: Is similar to Latch in that it is used after an initial set of keyframes but
snaps back to the prior recording levels when the slider is released
