Explain why scrubs using salt and sugar are often referred to as salt glows and sugar glows
What will be an ideal response?
Scrubs or frictions are manual exfoliation methods using salts or coarser organic substances. These tend to be brisk treatments that leave the client energized. The exfoliant substance is mixed with a fluid such as water, oil, crème, milk, yogurt, vinegar, water, or a body wash, and essential oils can be added to the mixture to enhance the treatment. Since these treatments both remove the top layers of the skin and cause vasodilation of skin blood vessels, the person is left with pink skin and a characteristic "glow." Because of this, scrubs using salt and sugar are often referred to as salt glows and sugar glows.
