Companies are beginning to recognize the problems erupting from the high volume of email. The tool that offers us an easier way to communicate is, in some instances, actually making it harder for us to communicate. Email-free workdays have been found to be very useful in increasing teamwork, providing better customer service, and helping companies solve problems quickly. Working relationships grow much stronger as a result of in-person interactions. Electronic overload can cause stress, and emails can objectify the recipient in the mind of the person sending the email.
