Compare and contrast local versus network printer.

What will be an ideal response?

A printer connects to a single computer or to the network. A local printer connects directly to a computer by way of a USB port, parallel port, serial port, or wireless connection (Bluetooth, infrared, or Wi-Fi). Some printers support more than one method. A network printer has an Ethernet port to connect directly to the network or uses Wi-Fi to connect to a wireless access point. Some printers have both an Ethernet port and a USB port. These printers can be installed as either a network printer or a local printer depending on which port you use.
