Amy Shaw is a 45-year-old female who is seen today due to pain in the left wrist after falling from a ladder last evening. The arm is swollen but she has full range of motion. She has a history of hypertension and had an appendectomy in 2001. In 2010 she had an arthroscopy of her right knee, which revealed a torn meniscus, which was repaired. She is allergic to sulfa drugs. She is currently on HCTZ for her hypertension. An x-ray of her left arm was done. The doctor diagnoses left arm sprain.
