Write quickly to make sure you get everything you need poured into that computer file. Then, go back through what you wrote once or twice and edit your copy before you let anyone else see it. Once it’s on the screen, you can look up words to see if you used them properly, rework awkward sentences and restructure some of your paragraphs. The slow edit will allow you to see what you have done and assess what you have to do next. However, if you don’t get the writing done, you will have almost nothing to edit.
