What does muscle tissue feel like during palpation?

What will be an ideal response?

Muscles have a variety of different qualities and textures. All muscles are fibrous and somewhat plump from the fluids within them. They tend to have a meaty texture. They can range from being dense and substantial to being flat and ropy. If the muscles are fibrous and tense, they will be hard and numb. If they are injured or have active tender points in them, they can be sore and irritable. When they are responsive, they often relax when touched and pressed.
