Cadence is the rhythm of language. Stylistic devices that produce cadence help create a memorable presentation for the listeners. The text recommends using parallelism—it occurs when two or more phrases have the same grammatical structure; antithesis—similar to parallelism, except that the two structures contrast in meaning; repetition—it emphasizes a key word or phrase by using it more than once; and alliteration—the repetition of an initial consonant sound several times in a phrase or sentence.
