What purposes does Spanglish serve?
What will be an ideal response?
Spanglish used by Hispanics reflects both a knowledge of Spanish and an awareness of the U.S. culture. Usually, the simpler word from either language is used. Spanglish (or Tex-Mex or Cubonics) is an example of a practice called code-switching by linguists to refer to changing from one language to another for a single word, phrase, clause, or entire sentence.
