What will be an ideal response?

One can capture the opinions of 300 million citizens by properly interviewing as few as 1,500 individuals. Polls, not to be biased, need to be random samples of the entire population. The difference between two surveys or samples is called sample error. If properly conducted, political polls can be highly accurate.
