Describe the development of primary emotions from one of these early emotions: distress, interest or pleasure

What will be an ideal response?

In the first weeks of life babies show pleasure by smiling after feeding or being stroked. By two or three months, they show a social smile, a smile in response to social interaction. They show more intense emotions of happiness over the first year and their smiles change in response to different stimuli.
Anger begins as distress, by 4 months about half of infants are able to show recognizable signals of anger, and by 7 months nearly all do. Fear and sadness also differentiate from distress.
Interest develops into surprise.
