What stereotypes and prejudices do you hold? Are you able to get past them and judge people as individuals? Do you think that your stereotypes influence your behavior without your being aware of them?

Should be in the limit of 250 to 300 words

A stereotype is a thought that someone has about specific types of individuals that may or may not accurately reflect a reality where prejudice is an opinion usually an unfavorable one that was formed before having any evidence and that is not based on reason or experience. Stereotypes are often confused with prejudices, because, like prejudices, a stereotype is based on a prior assumption. Stereotypes are often created about people of specific cultures or races. When prejudice occurs, stereotyping, discrimination, and bullying may also result. In many cases, prejudices are based on stereotypes.

For example, saying that all Blacks are good at sports is a stereotype, because it's grouping the race together to indicate that every one of that race is a good athlete. Within the same racial context, beliefs about the inferiority of blacks, notions that blacks experienced less pain and fewer emotions, and racist ideas about the behavior of blacks were all used as justifications to support slavery can be a good example of racial prejudice in a society.

With given above descriptions and examples you can construct your own essay towards the topic.
