People who are dissatisfied with their jobs want little to do with them; that is, they go out of their way to minimize the extent to which they are involved with them. This process is called employee withdrawal. The two major forms of employee withdrawal are voluntary turnover and absenteeism, both of which are linked to job dissatisfaction.
