Briefly highlight the concerns regarding how infant child care affects later development

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: The newest research from a long-term study of early child care and youth development suggests that there may be unanticipated consequences to long-term participation in day care as follows: 1) Infants placed in low-quality child care may be somewhat less secure. 2) Children who spend long hours in child care have lower ability to work independently and have less effective time management skills. 3) Children who spend 10 or more hours a week in group child care for a year or more have increased probability of being disruptive in class, and this continues through the sixth grade.
