(1) A speech classroom is a place to practice speeches because it provides a comfortable environment. (2) A person can practice the new skills on friends, in different situations, and in the classroom and receive feedback from the audience. (3) A person can develop consumer skills by becoming a more effective listener. By becoming a more effective listener there is less chance of prejudging. (4) The student can learn to effectively evaluate speeches and hone the skills to become a more productive member of society.
