Differentiate between prejudice and discrimination.

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Prejudice is “an attitude toward others based solely on group membership” (Moghaddam, 1998, p. 330). When prejudiced attitudes get translated into behavior, discrimination results. So the term discrimination is reserved for use when referring to the “actual behavior directed at others on the basis of category membership” (p. 332). Challenges often result when considering the consequences of confronting prejudice and discrimination.
