What will be an ideal response?

For Medicare to determine if the patient has been notified in advance that she will be responsible for payment, a GA modifier is used with the procedure. This is defined to mean "Waiver of Liability Statement Issued as Required by Payer Policy" and should be used when a required ABN was issued for a service.
