What is a clan or colony structure? Describe the advantages of such a structure

Mice are gregarious and prefer the company of other mice. The house mouse lives in groups that are called
clans or colony structures.
This colony structure gives the colony more protection against enemies, and it is easier for the colony
members to find and store large quantities of food. Females in the colony will share duties of raising the
young, providing warmth for the young, and nursing and feeding the young.
