What are the probable cause of Minoan collapse and the rise of Mycenae?

What will be an ideal response?

The Minoan civilization collapsed around 1450 BCE with the abandonment of Knossos and the invasion of the Mycenaeans. Scholars attribute this abandonment to several causes: deforestation of the island, devastation from the volcanic eruption of Thera, or simply an inability to resist the superior force of the Mycenaeans. The Mycenaeans were a feudal society, unlike the egalitarian society of the Minoans. They fortified their cities and were warlike. In the nineteenth century, German businessman and amateur archeologist Heinrich Schliemann discovered the vast ruins of Mycenae, which he associated with King Agamemnon of Homer’s Iliad.
