What are artifacts and how do artifacts serve to communicate power?
What will be an ideal response?
Artifacts are clothing and other accessories that allow one to express himself/herself nonverbally. Often artifacts are used to communicate status and identity. Those in power often set the norms for "appropriate" artifact behavior (e.g., dress codes) and influence what is seen as desirable and attractive in a culture.
