Do you observe any ARP or ICMP packets? If so, what do they indicate?
What will be an ideal response?
Yes. ARP and ICMP packets between PC1 and PC2 are observed. In the captured data, PC1 sends an ARP request to get the MAC address of PC2 and PC2 replies to its ARP request. Once, PC1 obtains MAC address of PC2, PC1 sends ICMP request which is the actually ping packet. PC2 replies to this query. Because five ping commands issue, there are five pairs of ICMP request and reply.
