What are vocalizations? Provide two examples of how vocalizations can be used in everyday interactions

What will be an ideal response?

Vocalizations are uttered sounds that do not have the structure of language. For example, I might say "uh-huh" while listening to a friend talk to let her know I am listening, interested, and understand what she is saying. Another example is that I might say "um" while I am speaking to hold my place in the conversation and indicate that I am thinking but have more to say.
