Do you think some forms of rich communication are more effective than others? Explain
What will be an ideal response?
Answer: Possible response: Any channel that allows back-and-forth feedback is rich. However, not all rich channels are created equal. Video or face-to-face interactions that allow nonverbal communication to be used are richer than nonvisual media such as a telephone. Nonverbal cues offer an emotional dimension that provides important information about the person's attitude and responses. Live interactions are richer than electronic ones because they allow observers to assess the environment in which the interaction occurs. One-to-one interactions also allow for spontaneous feedback. Based on these ideas, I believe that one-to-one, face-to-face exchanges are the richest form of communication.
