You are entering a client meeting and your boss says, “Monitoring is too expensive, we need to get rid of this.” What is your response?

What will be an ideal response?

Monitoring and listening are key practices that need to be incorporated, and it is worth the expense to have these tools in place. We need to have data to inform what we are doing that is working, and what are some potential risks that we need to anticipate. We also have to be aware of what our competitors are doing on social, and at the same time exploring new opportunities. Without both of these practices, we will be practicing in the dark and not have the insights necessary to make informed decisions.
