We perceive and form impressions using all five senses: sight, touch, smell, hearing, and taste. Illustrate how you would appeal to at least four of the five senses in order to make a good impression at a job interview.
What will be an ideal response?
Answers may vary but will likely touch on similar points. A good impression based on sight will relate to professionalism of dress and grooming; someone may choose to cover up tattoos or remove facial piercings. A good impression based on touch will likely be related to a firm handshake--not too limp and not too vigorous. A good impression based on smell will have to do with good hygiene (bathing and brushing one’s teeth) and perhaps the use of an inoffensive perfume or cologne. A good impression based on hearing might include speaking at a normal volume and avoiding slang or curse words. It is unlikely for taste to play a role in a job interview.
