Describe the X.25 technology.

X.25 is a packet switching technology that provides an interface between public packet-switching networks and their customers. X.25 networks commonly offer both switched virtual circuits and permanent virtual circuits, but PVCs aren't always available. It provides a high level of error control, but limited bandwidth.
