Describe the foster care program in America
What will be an ideal response?
Foster care is where children are placed with a family that is not theirs by the State and by an agency. In the U.S., about half of children in foster care are placed with relatives. Although this is a temporary program, many children will remain in foster care for years. It has a negative effect on children's academic, social, and behavioral well being.
