Select a communication topic of interest to you. Given that topic, compare and contrast the ways that two different units of analysis would alter the focus of your study. Provide specific examples of the kinds of questions you could ask using each unit of analysis
What will be an ideal response?
The answers to this question will be highly dependent on individual student interests. However, essays should select at least two of the following units of analysis to discuss: individuals, groups, organizations, and social artifacts. See pages 32-34 for a discussion of these units of analysis.
