Conformity-orientation refers to the degree to which family members express similar or
dissimilar attitudes, values, and beliefs. High-conformity families have highly similar
values/beliefs and try to avoid conflict. Low-conformity families express highly divergent
attitudes/beliefs and engage in conflict interactions.
