Apple has developed some of the most innovative products of the early 21st century. So people were surprised when Chinese factories in its supply chain used child labor

Do you think Apple should have been more diligent in preventing this? Does the situation change your opinion of the company?
What will be an ideal response?

Answer: Possible response: I do think that Apple should have used more care in monitoring the working conditions of suppliers, especially since it uses low-cost labor in developing countries. Every company regardless of size has a responsibility to ensure that its products are made in a manner that protects human rights, at a minimum. While I do like Apple products, the child labor issue has changed my opinion of the company. An organization like Apple that has such a high global profile and presents itself as cutting edge in terms of both technology and culture should go out of its way to be a leader on all three pillars of sustainability and practice ethical behavior at all levels.
