Can dental x-rays cause cataracts in the lens of the eye?

What will be an ideal response?

No, it has never been reported that dental x-rays can cause cataracts. It takes at least 2 gray (200 rad) of radiation exposure to cause cataract formation, a dose much greater than that used in exposing dental radiographs.
