What will be an ideal response?

• Externship sites: if a medical assistant has had an impressive externship experience the site will be more willing to offer employment or be a source of reference for other jobs within the medical community
• Local newspapers: medical offices and hospitals often place job vacancies in the classified section of the local newspapers
• Internet: there are multiple Web sites that are geared toward finding career-centered jobs; additionally local newspapers also have Web sites listing current job vacancies in the Classified section
• Local staffing agencies: these are third parties hired by an employer to find employees to fill certain positions, sometimes temporary jobs that could lead to full-time positions
• Career assistance department at school: many training institutions offer career assistance for recent graduates. The schools generally develop relationships with employers within the community and are often one of the first sources informed of available job openings.
