Several steps apply to commencement speeches: 1) Organize the speech in a temporal pattern, particularly if you are discussing the past, present, and future. 2) Do your research. 3) Be brief. 4) Congratulate the graduates. 5) Motivate the graduates. 6) Offer your own personal good wishes.
