Describe the legislative branch of France

What will be an ideal response?

France has a bicameral legislature. The bicameral legislature is composed of the directly elected lower house, the National Assembly, and the indirectly elected upper house, the Sénat. Like presidents, National Assembly members serve five-year terms although the president has the power to dissolve the body and call for early elections. The electoral institutions for other French representative bodies—such as the upper house of parliament, as well as regional, district, and local governments—differ substantially from the system for the presidential and National Assembly elections. Most of the nearly 350 members of the Sénat, for example, are indirectly elected—primarily by local elected authorities—for six-year terms, with one half elected every three years.
