Discuss an example of foreign business located in Georgia. How is the company's subsidiary good for its profitability? How is it good for the state of Georgia?
What will be an ideal response?
Answer: Hanwha Q Cells is a Korean foreign company that is a leader in the solar industry. The reason that their subsidiary is good for profitability is because they are escaping domestic competition in a highly developed country that probably has more competition than Georgia does in the solar industry. This allows them to control the market better and do things like set the market price. Their move is good for Georgia because it has created more than 500 jobs for people in their manufacturing facility in Dalton County.
