What are the advantages and disadvantages of using parent country nationals in international assignments?

What will be an ideal response?

PCNs typically share a common culture and educational background with corporate headquarters staff, so they are able to facilitate communication and coordination with corporate headquarters. They are also adept at introducing techniques from home to the host country setting. However, PCNs typically lack the knowledge of the host country's laws, culture, economic conditions, social structure, and political processes. These weaknesses can be overcome with training but such training is expensive. Further, it is expensive to relocate PCNs and maintain them in the host country.
