Good answers should begin with scenarios such as a misunderstanding, a frustrating
interaction, or the formation of a negative judgment, but the description of the experience should
be less than 50% of the answer. Answers should show that a student can understand and
accurately apply each term: semantic noise; rules, norms, attitudes, beliefs and values; high vs.
low context; and ethnocentrism
