Teleological or consequence-oriented ethical systems: select the best answer by evaluating outcomes. Examples of consequence-oriented systems are utilitarianism and situation ethics. Deontological or duty-oriented ethical systems: select the best answer by evaluating the action. The rightness or wrongness is inherent in the action regardless of consequences.
