What will be an ideal response?

A country specializes in the activities in which it has the lowest opportunity cost. By trading, it can obtain goods and services at a lower opportunity cost than it would cost to produce the goods and services domestically. Hence the nation acquires goods and services at a lower cost than before and so the nation's consumption increases. In fact, trade allows the nation to consume at a point beyond its production possibilities frontier.
