What will be an ideal response?

Vicarious motivation occurs when individuals “are motivated by the successes of others who are similar to themselves.” People tend to emulate the successes of others in working toward their own successes or perceived future successes. Conversely, people are generally deterred when they see negative consequences for their peers.
